This document contains the release notes for firmware and software version 5.80 to 5.84 of the GE Universal
Relay (UR) family of products.

Major firmware releases can introduce new protection and control elements that can affect the device's
Modbus memory map. Check the summary of released features to find out if it applies to a particular release.
When upgrading the firmware from versions 5.80 or 5.81 to version 5.84, the relay's settings may
be reset to factory defaults. The relay's settings should be saved before the upgrade and reloaded
to the relay after the firmware upgrade.
Firmware version 5.84 is not applicable to the L60 Line Phase Comparison System.
