the throttle position at half or less causes excessive
wear to the drive belts.

and S
positions

Important:
Do not engage the starter for more
than 5 seconds at a time. If the engine fails to
start, wait 15 seconds between attempts. Failure
to follow these instructions can burn out the
starter motor.
Note:
You may need to repeat the cycle for starting
the engine when you start it for the first time after you
have filled a completely empty fuel system with fuel.
