suffer from the problem which a lot of
radios have which forces you to making
restricted mounting choices on the basis
o f t h i s .
P o w e r c o n s u m p t i o n o n s t a n d b y s e e m s
good. I havn't yet measured it but the unit
stays realatively cool when compared with
t h e P h i l i p s F 1 4 1 0 0 0 o r A s c o m S E 5 5 O . T h i s
m a k e s i t a p p e a r m u c h v i a b l e f o r
transportable use.
The RSSI is à four bar array. This in itself
i s q u i t e a l u x u r y o n a P B R r i g . T h e o n l y
o t h e r I c a n t h i n k o f w i t h a s i m i l a r f u n c t i o n
is the Philips/Simoco FÍ\41000.
There is also PC software for the R4O as
you would expect for a radio of this era.
