    Manuals and Software You can download the manuals and software from the following URL. http://www.canon.com/icpd/ ● With a computer connected to the Internet, access the above URL. ● Access the site for your country or region. ● Adobe Reader is required to view the manuals.
  • Page 4 Initial Preparations Attach the strap. ( 5 )  Attach the included strap to the camera ( 4 ) as shown. ( 3 )  On the other side of the camera, attach ( 2 ) the strap the same way. ( 1 ) Insert the battery pack.
  • Page 5 Initial Preparations Insert the battery pack.  Holding the battery pack with the terminals in the position shown (1), hold the battery lock toward (2) and insert the battery pack toward (3) until the lock ( 1 ) ( 2 ) clicks shut.
  • Page 6 Initial Preparations Open the screen. ( 1 )  Open the screen (1) and rotate it toward ( 2 ) the lens 180° (2).  Close the screen in this orientation (3). ( 3 ) Turn the camera on.  Press the ON/OFF button.

    Trying the Camera Out Confi gure the display language.  Press the [ ] button.  Press and hold the [ ] button, and then immediately press the [ ] button.  Press the [ ][ ][ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ] dial to choose a language, and then press the [ ] button.

    Trying the Camera Out Compose the shot.  To zoom in and enlarge the subject, move the zoom lever toward [ ] (telephoto) as you watch the screen, and to zoom away from the subject, move it toward [ (wide angle). Shoot.

    Trying the Camera Out Choose images.  To view the previous or next image, press the [ ][ ] buttons or turn the [ ] dial.  Movies are identifi ed by a [ ] icon. To play movies, go to step 3. Play movies.
