Removal and Installation Routines

Removing memory modules

Removal of memory modules is performed in reverse order:
Ê Flip the ejector tabs on each side of the slot outwards. The memory module
will be levered out of its DIMM slot.
Ê Remove the memory module from its slot.

Processors

®
A PRIMERGY BX600 server blade contains either one or two Intel
Xeon™
processors with 2.8 GHz to 3.2 GHz.
The 2,80 GHz CPU provides 512 KB Second-Level-Cache. Both the 3,06 GHz
and the 3,2 GHz CPU provide in addition 1 MB Third-Level-Cache.
A server blade equipped with one CPU can be upgraded to a dual CPU server
blade.
Installing/removing processors
Requirements
– The server blade has been removed
– The server blade cover has been removed
