2. MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
A. VACUUM PUMP
(1) REMOVAL
(a) Disconnect the hoses
(b) Unbolt from engine
(2) INSPECTION
(a) Check vacuum pressure: Normal reading us between 4.8 and 5.2 inches of
mercury. Check to see if shaft is sheared.
(3) INSTALLATION
(a) Install pump with a new gasket
(b) Torque nuts to manufacturers recommended values
(c) Reconnect hoses
B. AIR FILTER
(1) REMOVAL
(a) Remove bolt from top of air filter
(b) Pull out
(2) INSPECTION
(a) Visually inspect filter for excessive contamination
(3) INSTALLATION
(a) Install new air filter
(b) Reinstall bolt
