Inverter Configuration – Setup Mode
You can configure the inverter using one of the following:

The internal LCD user buttons (below). When using this option, the inverter cover is removed.

The external LCD light button (page 31). When using this option, removing the inverter cover is not
required. This option of configuration includes a less detailed configuration menu.
Configuring the Inverter Using the Internal LCD User
Buttons
After inverter installation, a field technician may perform basic inverter configuration.

Turn the inverter ON/OFF switch to OFF (AC remains ON).
WARNING!
If the inverter is operating, the following message is displayed.

This message is displayed until the DC voltage is safe (50V). Do not open the cover until the
voltage is safe or until at least five minutes have passed.

Remove the inverter cover: Open the inverter cover's six Allen screws and carefully pull the cover
vertically before lowering it .
WARNING!
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Do not touch uninsulated wires when the inverter cover is
removed.

Press the Enter button for at least 5 seconds. The following message is displayed:

Use the three right-most internal LCD user buttons to type in the following password: 12312312. The
following message is displayed:

The inverter is now in Setup mode and all its LEDs are lit. The inverter automatically exits Setup mode
if no buttons are pressed for more than 2 minutes.
The following shows a hierarchical tree of the menu options, which are described in Inverter
Configuration Menu Options on page 33:
