you get a low blood sugar
result or LO is displayed
(blood sugar result is lower
than the low end of the
system's reading range -
refer to your test drum
package insert for more
information),
your blood sugar result is
above 240 mg/dL,
you get a high blood sugar
result or HI is displayed
(blood sugar result is
higher than 600 mg/dL –
refer to your test drum
package insert for more
information),
HI is displayed (blood
sugar result is higher than
600 mg/dL, meter is dirty,
or strips may be expired
or damaged by improper
storage),
AND...
symptoms are absent,
this has occurred for sev-
eral days,
you also experience
symptoms of high blood
sugar: fatigue, increased
appetite or thirst, frequent
urination, blurred vision,
headache or achiness,
symptoms are absent,

run a control test with your control solutions (see page
42, Control Testing ). If the control result is within the
acceptable range, review the proper testing procedure
and repeat your blood sugar test. If LO still appears for
your blood sugar test result, follow your doctor's
instructions. If the control result is not within the
acceptable range, turn to page 53.

to page 53.
