IF...
your blood sugar result
seems unusually high
or low,
you get a low blood sugar
result or LO is displayed
(blood sugar result is
lower than the low end
of the system's reading
range – refer to your test
drum package insert for
more information),
AND...
does not reflect the
way you feel, check the
following:
• Was the meter properly
cleaned?
• Was the test drum vial
cap tightly sealed?
• Was the test drum used
for more than 90 days
after opening?
• Was the test drum used
after the expiration date?
(use-by date found on
the vial)
• Was the test drum
stored in extreme
temperatures such as
in the car in very cold
or hot weather?
you also experience
symptoms of low blood
sugar: sweating, trembling,
blurred vision, rapid heart
beat, tingling or numbness
around the mouth or
fingertips,

THEN...
run a control test with your control solutions (see page
42, Control Testing ). If the control result is within the
acceptable range, review the proper testing procedure
and repeat your blood test. If your blood sugar result still
does not reflect the way you feel, contact your doctor.
