tion.
Illicit waste disposal is subject to penalties defined in the Environment code (Italian
D.Lgs. 3rd April 2006, n. 152) and other currently enforced regulations on the subject
EXPOSURE TO ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES (SAR)
Electromagnetic Waves
The product is a low power radio transmitter/receiver. When switched on, it transmits
and receives radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic waves intermittently. The system
handling the calling procedure controls the power levels used by the modem for data
transmission.
Exposure to electromagnetic waves (SAR)
This apparatus is designed to comply with every safety requirement pertaining expo-
sure to electromagnetic waves. Such requirements are based on scientific indications
which define safety margins studied to guarantee safe use for everybody, indepen-
dently of age and state of health.
The unit measure employed to estimate the exposure to radio waves is the Specific
Absorption Rate (SAR). Measurements of the SAR are carried out using a standard
procedure where the product transmits at its peak power level on all the frequency
bands tested.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of different ONDA products,
each has been designed to comply to basic guidelines pertaining the exposure to elec-
tromagnetic waves.
The limit value of the SAR recommended by the International Commission for Non-
Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) is 2W/kg estimated as mean value on ten
(10) grams of tissue.
The value of the SAR measured for this product is within the defined limit.
