2.15 CONTROLLER OPTIONS

2.15.1 OVERVIEW

Always touch a grounded surface to discharge static electricity from your hands before
you handle SD cards, printed circuit boards, or memory boards.
This machine has I/F card slots for optional I/F connections and SD card slots applications.
After you install an option, check that the machine can recognize it (
Connections").
Remove the card slot cover [B] to use the SD card slots (

I/F Card Slot

Slot [A] is used for one of the optional I/F connections (only one can be installed): IEEE1284,
or IEEE802.11a/b/g (Wireless LAN).

SD Card Slots

Slot 1 (upper) [1] is used for optional applications (e.g.: Netware, Postscript3, Browser Unit,
Fax Connection Unit, etc).
Slot 2 (lower) [2] is used for installing applications, or for service only (for example, updating
the firmware).
