Display messages and troubleshooting guide
When symbols and numbers are shown in purple below,
it indicates that they flash in the monitor's display.
Display
Monitor will not turn on.
Battery symbol appears and
disappears after 3 seconds.
Clock has stopped. Clock is
slow after the monitor is
turned on.

Cause
• Batteries are empty.
• Ambient temperature is too
low.
• Display is damaged.
• Monitor is defective.
Battery power is sufficient for
a maximum of 50 more tests.
Insufficient battery power –
no further tests can be
performed.
The monitor was exposed to
temperatures below minus
10°C, and the batteries are
starting to freeze.
Action
• Insert new batteries.
• Move somewhere warmer and repeat the test.
• Contact our Diabetes Care Info-Line (for details see
Chapter 12 "Customer support and service").
Continue testing until all the test strips in the test strip drum
have been used. Then insert two new batteries (type AAA) and
a new test strip drum.
Insert two new batteries (type AAA).
Always store the monitor at above minus 10°C.
