You have turned on the hypo warning
and the displayed result is below the
threshold you set.
You have turned on the alarm clock
function. The bell symbol flashes in the
display at the same time as the meter
beeps.
The meter is downloading results to a
computer.

Display messages and troubleshooting

When elements in the display are surrounded by a halo, it indicates that
they are flashing in the meter's display.
If you receive frequent error messages, please contact the Accu-Chek
customer care line (see Chapter 14 "Local customer support and
service").
If this happens ...
it means:
The meter will not turn on.
Symbols, display messages and troubleshooting
The batteries (normal or recharge-
able) are empty.
Insert batteries (new or recharged).
You inserted the batteries the wrong
way round. Remove the batteries
and place them in the battery com-
partment as instructed.
If the batteries were left the wrong
way round in the meter for more
than two minutes, the meter forgets
the year, date and time. Re-enter
them (see Chapters 3 "Settings").
