    When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

    The Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet needs to be charged prior to use and after extended storage. Leave the solar panel on the helmet facing the sun for at least 4 hours before first use. Remove the protective film from both sides of the front lens (if not already done). Follow the Before Each Use instructions below.
