Ejecting the used lancet

Remove the cap from the lancing device.
Hold the lancing device upright above a waste bin.
Press in the plunger until it CLICKS.
The lancet drops out.
Press the cap back on the lancing device.

Testing blood glucose
If the lancet does not drop out:
Keep the plunger pressed down.
Hook the edge of the white "collar" of the cap behind the platform of
the lancet.
A cut-out area on the inside of the lancet holder makes it easy to hook
the lancet platform (see illustration).
Use the white collar to pull the lancet out.
