Care and cleaning of the range.

OvenAir Vents
Never block tlle vents (air openings) of tim
hinge. Tbe_ pm_ide tile air inlet and outlet fllat
are necessary fbr file range to operate properly
with correct combustion.
.Mr opening_ are located at d_e rear of
the cooktop, at the top and bottom of the
o_en door and at file bottom of the range,
under tim storage drm_r or _u'ming drm_r
(depending on the model).
Pull the knob straight off the stem.
Lower Control Panel (Front Manifold Panel) and Knobs
It's a good idea to _ipe the control panel after
each use of tile o_en. Use a damp cloth to clean
or rinse. For cleaning, use mild soap and water
el" a 50/50 solution ofvineKar and _lter. For
rinsing, use clean _ttel: Polish drx wifl_ a soft
cloth.
Do I/Ot tlse abrasive cleansers, strong liquid
cleaners, plastic scouring pads or o_en cleaners
on the control panel--tile) will damage the
finish.
Do not bend knobs b} pulling them up or doxm
or b} bang{ng a towel or other such loads. This
can damage the Kas_alxe shaft.
The control knobs mm be remo\ed tbr easier
cleaning.
Make sine the knobs are in the OFFposifions
and pull them stndght off fl_e stems _br cleaning.
The knobs can be cleaned in a dish_Mmr or
the_ may also be washed widl soap and watex:

Replace the knobs in the OFF position
to ensure
proper
placement.
Metal pm'ts can be deaned with soap and _tex:
Do not use steel w_ol, abnlsi\ es, ammonia, adds
or commercial o_en cleanex_. Dry with a soft doth.
Oven Shelves
If your oven is equipped with nickel oven
shekes, the_ should be x_mo_ed fl'om the o_en
betiwe beg-inning the selfklean cycle.
To clean file nickel shelves, tlse all abnlsi\e
cleanser. _Mier cleaning, rinse the shelves with
clean _lter and &v wid_ a clean cloth. If the
shelves ever become hard to slide, wipe the shelf
edges or o_en shelf suppo_'ts wifl_ vegetable oil.
If your o\en is equipped with gray porcelain-
coamd shelves, the} may be cleaned in d_e o_en
during the sell:clean excle.
They may also be cleaned b} using an abnlsive
cleanse_: ,Mier cleaning, rinse tile shelves with
clean water and drx wifl_ a clean cloth. If tlle
shekes ever become hard to slide, wipe the shelf
edges or o_en shelf supports with vegetaNe oil.

A CAUTION: efore
replecing ouroven
light bulb, disconnect the electrical power to the range at
the main fuse or circuit breaker panel. Be sure to let the
light cover and bulb cool completel_
The oven light bulb is covered with a removable
glass
co_er that is held in
place
with a bail-
shaped wire. Remove the o\en doo_, if desired,
to l_ach co\er easily.
Toremove:
V_] Hold a hand under the eo_,er so it doesn't

t_fll when released. Vdth fingers of the same
band, firmly push back the _Mre co_er
bolder. I_itt off the cover.
Do not removeanyscrews toremove
the covel;._
Toreplace cover:
Do not touch hot bulb with
a wet cloth. Replace bulb
_ith a 40-watt household
appliance bulb.
[] Place it into the groove of the light
receptacle. Pull the wi_ fi)*'_tr(t to fl_e
center of the co_er tmfil it snaps into place.
When in place, the wire holds fl_e cover
