B. Usage Situations
Where Appliance
Power Cord Will
Be Disconnected
Frequently.
Do not use an adapter plug in these situations because
disconnecting of the power cord places undue strain on
the adapter and leads to eventual failure of the adapter
ground terminal. The customer should have the 2-prong
wall receptacle replaced with a 3-prong (grounding)
receptacle by a qualified electrician before using the
appliance.
The installation of appliances designed for mobile
home installation must conform with the Manufactured
Home Construction and Safety Standard, Title 24 CFR,
Part 3280 (formerly the Federal Standard for Mobile Home
Construction and Safety, Title 24, HaD, Part 280) or,
when such standard is not applicable, the Standard
for Manufactured Home Installations, latest edition
(Manufactured Home Sites,Communities and Set-Ups),
ANSIA225.1, latest edition, or with local codes. In Canada,
mobile home installation must be in accordance with the
current CAN/CSAZ240/MH Mobile Home Installation Code.
Electric Disconnect
• Locate disconnect plug on the range back.
• Pinch sides of connector and pull out of range back.

SEAL THE OPENINGS
Seal any openings in the wall behind the range and
in the floor under the range when hookups are completed.
CHECK OPERATION OF SURFACE
BURNERS
Operationof all cooktopand oven burnersshouldbe checked
after the range and gassupply lineshavebeen carefully
checkedfor leaks.
Lighting the Burners
Selecta top burner knob and simultaneouslypush in and turn
to LITEposition.Youwill hear a clicking soundindicating proper
operationof the spark module.Oncethe air has beenpurged
from the supply lines,burnersshouldlightwithin 4 seconds.
After burner lights,rotate knob out of the LITEposition.Try each
burner in successionuntilall burnershavebeen checked.
guality of Flames
Thecombustionquality of burnerflames needsto be
determinedvisually.
(A) Yellow flames-
Call for service
(B) Yellow tips on outer
cones- Normal for LP
gas
(C) Soft blue flames-
Normal for natural gas
If burner flumes look like (A),call for service.Normal burner
flumes should look like (B)or (C), d epending on the type of gas
you use.
With LPgas, someyellow tipping on outer cones is normal.

CHECK OPERATION OF OVEN BURNERS
A. Removeoven bottom:
Removethe 2 screwsat the rear of the oven bottom.
Graspthe oven bottom at slotson each side.
Liftthe rear enough to clearthe lip of the range frame,
pushit back,and then pull it up and out.
