Usingthe self-cleaning oven.
Never force the latch handle. Forcing the handle will damage the door lock mechanism.
The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.
Wipe up heavy soil on the oven
bottom.
Before a Clean Cycle
For tile ti_t selfklean cycle, we re(onmlend
venting
your kitchen
with an open window
or using a ventilation tim or hood.
Remove tile shelves, any broiler pan, broiler
grid, all cookware and any ahuninuin toil
fl'om tile oven.
Tile oxen shelxes can be self-cleaned,
but they will darken, lose their luster
and become hard to slide.
Do
not rise COillil/ei'cial ()veil cleanei_ oi"
oven protectors in or near tile self-cleaning
oven. A coillbination ol anv ol these
products plus tile high clean cycle
temperatures may damage tile porcelain
finish of tile ()veil.
Soil on tile fl'ont fl'ame of tile range and
outside the gasket on the door will need
to be cleaned by hand. Clean these areas
with hot water; soap-filled scom_ing pads
or cleansei_ such as Soft Scrub?
Rinse well with clean water and dry:
Do not clean tile gasket. Tile fiberglass
material of the oven door gasket cmmot
withstand abrasion. It is essential for the
gasket to remain intact. If you notice it
becoming worn or fl'ayed, replace it.

A combination oI any of these products
plus the high clean cycle temperatm'es may
damage tile porcelain finish of tile oven.
IMPORTANT. The health of some birds is
extremely sensitive to tile fllmes given off
dtwing the sel6cleaning cycle of any range.
Move birds to another well ventilated room.
How to Set the Oven for Cleaning (on models with an OVENTEMP Knob)
Follow tile directions in tile Before a Clean
Cycle secdon.

TheClean time is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Theself

clean cycle is complete.

touch tile SELFCLEAN pad.
Tile oven shuts off automatically when tile
clean cycle is complete, and 0:00 will flash
in tile display.
