How to Remove Protective Shipping

for thefirsttime.
Film and Packaging:Tape
Toensure no damageisdoneto thefinish

theadhesive from packaging tapeon new
appliances isan application of a household
liquiddishwashing d etergent. A pply with a soft
clothand allowto soak.
NOTE: T headhesivemust be removed from all
parts,tt cannot be removedif it isbakedon.
Control
Knobs
The controlknobs may be removed foreasier
cleaning.
Makesure the knobs are inthe OFFpositions
and pullthem straight offthe stems for
cleaning.
Theknobs canbe cleaned in a dishwasher or
theymayalsobe washed withsoapandwater.
Hakesurethe inside of the knobs aredry
beforereplacing.
Replace theknobs, i n the OFFposition to
ensure properplacement.

drawerfront.Clean thesewith soapandwater
or a vinegarandwatersolution,
Donot usecommercial ovencleaners, cleaning
powders, steel w ool or harsh abrasives o n any
painted surface.
Stainless
Steel Surfaces _on some models)
Do not use a steel wool pad;it will
scratch thesurface.
To cleanthe stainlesssteel surface,use
worm, sudsy water or a stainlesssteel
cteaner or polish.Alwayswipe the surface
in the direction of the grain. Followthe
cleaner instructionsfor cleaningthe
stainlesssteel surface.

Porcelain
Enamel Cooktop _on somemodels)
The porcelainenamel finish is sturdy
but breakableif misused.Thisfinish is
acid-resistant. However,any acidic foods
spilledlsuch asfruit juices,tomato or
vinegar)should not be permitted to
remain on the finish.
If acids spill on the cooktop while it ishot,
usea drypaper towel or cloth to wipe it up
right away.When the surface hascooled,
wash with soap and water. Rinse we!l.
Forother spillssuch asfat spatterings,
wash with soap and water or cleansing
powders after the surface has cooled.
