Adjust the oven thermostat--Do it yourseff!
Youmay findthat yournew oven cooksdifferentlythan the one it replaced.Use yournew oven for a few weeks
to becomemore familiar with it. ff you stillthink yournew oven is toohot or too cold,you can adjustthe
thermostat yourself.
Do not use thermometers, such as those foundin grocerystores,to check the temperaturesettingof youroven.
Thesethermometers may vary 20-40 degrees.
NOTE."This adjustment will not affect the broilingor the self-cleaningtemperatures.Theadjustmentwill be retained
in memoryaftera power failure.
To Adjust the Thermostat
[] Touch the _
and BROIL HI/tO
pads at the same time for 3 seconds
undl the display shows SF.
[] Touch the _ pad. A two digit
number shows in the display.
Touch BAKEonce to decrease (-)
the oven temperature, or twice to
increase (+).

The oven temperature can be
adjusted up as much as 35°F, or
down as much as 35°F. Touch the
number pads the same wayyou read
them. For example, to change the
oven temperature 15°F., touch I
and
[] When you have made the
adjusn'nent, touch the START pad
to go back to the time of day display.
Use your oven as you would
normally.
NOTE: Thethermostat adjustment forBaking
willalso affect C onvection Baking or Convection
Roasting.
The type of margarine will affect baking performance!
Most recipes for bakinghave been developedusinghighfat productssuch as butteror margarine(80% fat).ff you
decrease the fat the recipe may not give thesame resultsas with a higherfatproducL
Recipefailurecan resultif cakes,pies,pastries,cookiesor candiesare made with low fat spreads.Thelower the fat
content ofa spreadpreducg the more noticeablethesedifferencesbecome.
Federal standards require products labeled "margarine" to contain at least 80 % fat byweighLLowfat spreads, on the
other hand, contain less fat and more water. The high moisture content of these spreads affects the texture and flavor of
baked goods. For best results with your old favorite recipes, use mazgaxine, butter or stick spreads containing at least
70% vegetable oil.
