BURNER AIR ADJUSTMENT
SHUTTERS IF NECESSARY
Air adjustment shutters for the top and bottom burners
regulate the flow of air to the flames.
The air a(!justment shutter fin" the top (broil) burner is
in the center of the rear wall of the oxen.

The shutter fin" the bottom (oven) bm'ner is near the
back wall behind the drawer. Remove the drawer.

To adjust the flow of air to either burlier, loosen the
Phillips head screw and rotate the shutter toward open
or closed position as needed.
The flames for the top (broil) bm'ner should be stea(h
with approximately 1" blue cones and should not
extend out oxer the edges of the bm'ner baffle.
To determine if the bottom burner flames are bm'ning
i)roperl)/, remove the oven bottom. [qames should have
approximately 1" blue cones and, if range is sui)plied
with natural gas, should bm'n with no yellow tipping.
(With most I,P gas, small yellow tips at the end of outer
cones are normal.) Flames should not lilt off burner
ports. If lifting is observed, gradually reduce air shutter
opening until flames are stabilized.

To remove the oven bottom:
A. Remoxe the screws holding down rear of the oxen
bottolll.
B. (;rasp the oxen bottom at finger slots on each side.
C. i,ifl tile rear of the oxen bottom enough to clear the
lip of the range frame, push it back, and then pull it
up and out.
[] LEVELING THE RANGE
A. Install the oxen shelxes in tile oxen and position the
range where it will be installed.

B. Check tot levelness by placing a spirit level or a cup,
partially filled with water, on one of the oven shelves.
If using a spirit level, take two readings--with the
level placed diagonally first in one direction and
then the other.

Remove the drawer. See the Care and cleaning of the
range section. The fl'ont leveling legs can be a(!justed
fl'om the bottoln and the rear legs can be a(!justed
fl'om the top or the bottom.
Use an open-end or a(!justable wrench to a(!just the
lexelinoo legs until the ranoeo is lexel.
E. After the range is level, slide tile range awax from the
wall so that the Anti-Tip dexice can be installed.
