Self-cleaning gas ranges

Lift the door straight up and off fl?e
hinges.
The gasket is designed with a gap at
the bottom to allow for proper air
circulation.
Do not rub or cleat?the door
gasket--it has an extremely low
resistance to abrasion.
If you notice the gasket becomfl?g
won?, frayed or damaged fl?any way
or if it has become displaced on the
door, you should have it replaced.
Lift-Off Oven Door
Theoven door is removable,but it is heavy Youmay
need help removlbg and replacing the door
Toremove the door, open it a few inches to
tile sl)ecial stop position
that will hold tile
door open.
Grasp firefly on each side and
litt the door straight
up and off tile hinges.
NOTE."Be careful not to place hands between the
binge and the ovendoor frameas the hlbge could
snap back andpinch flbgers.
Toreplace the deer, make S/lI'e tile hinges
are in tile spedal
stop position.
Position
tile
slots in the bottom
of the door squarely
over the hinges. Then
lower the door slowly
and evenly over both hinges at the same
time. If the hinges
snap back against
the
oven fl'ame, pull them back out.
To clean the inside of the door:

_ Because tile area inside tile gasket is
cleaned
during
the self clean cycle, you
do not need to clean this by hand. Any
soap left on the liner causes additional
stains when
the oven is heated.

Toclean the outside of the door:
Use soap and water to thoroughly
clean
the top, sides and fl'ont ot the oven dora:

to clean the glass on the outside

Oven Bottom
Tile oven bottom
has a porcelain
enamel
finish, To make
cleaning
easier; protect
the
oven bottom
fl'om excessive spillove_
by
placing
a cookie sheet
on the shelf below
the shelfw)u

on. This is
particularly
important
when baking
a fl'uit
pie or other
fi)ods with a high acid content.
Hot fl'uit fillings or other toods that are
highly acidic (such as tomatoes,
sauerkrmK
and sauces with vinegar
or lemon
juice)
may cause pitting
and damage
to tile
porcelain
enamel
stlrlilce and should
be
wiped
up immediately.

on the oven bottom.
It can affect air flow if
the holes are blocked
and it can concentrate
heat at tile bottom

in
poor baking pertimnance.
To clean
