Self-cleaning gas ranges

Care and cleaning of the range.
Griddle
NOTES:
i!_ Thegriddle is to be used over the center
burner only.
< Do notclean the griddle in a self-cleaning oven.
ii'! Do not clean the griddle in a dishwasher
_i_:_ Wash with hot, soapywater after eachuse while
using a spongeor dishcloth.
_,_ If oil or food residueis left on the griddle, further
cookingwill harden the residueandcausestlckleg
over tlYne. I n this case, use a non-abrasivecleanser
suchas BenAmP or one of the soft scrub
cleansers. A pply with a sponge,Scrunge _ or other
cleaningpad labeledsafe for non-stickpans

Si/verStone _ kitchen tools to prevent marring
of the coating.

Cleaning
Lift out when cool. Grates should
be
washed
regularly
and, of coui_e,
alter
spillove_.
X_'ash them in hot, soapy water
and rinse with clean watei: _,_]/eIl replacing
the grams, be sure they are positioned
secm'elv over the burne_.
Replace
the
grates so that straight
lines are fimned
with the center
fibs of all three grates.
Do not operate
a burner for an extended
period
of time without
cookware
on the
grate. The finish on the grate may dil I)
without
cookware
to absorb the heat.
To get rid of bm'ned-on
food, place the
grates in a covered
containe_:
Add 1/4 cup
ammonia
and let them soak several hems
or overnight.
Wash, rinse well and (h T.
_Mthough they are din'able,
the grates will
gradually
lose their shine, regardless
of the
best care you can give them.
This is due
to their continual
exposm'e
to high
temperatures.
You will notice
this
sooner
with lighter
color grates.
NOTE: Thegrates may also be cleaned in a
serf-cleaningoven.
If one or more
of the drcular
black silicone
grate support
bumi)e_s
in the cooktop
are
missing or damaged,
replacement
parts
can
be obtained
by calling 1.800.GE.(
;ARES.
To insert the new buml)e_,
simply insert
the cone shaped
end and push down while
gently twisting or rocking

sauerkraut,

etc.) or foods with
high sugar content

etc., wash with soap and water once the

rinse and polish
