Configuration

A redirected, or shared, device is a device that behaves as if it is connected to the remote desktop.
An unshared or excluded device is only available locally. An excluded device will not be
automatically shared, even if Auto-share is checked.
To redirect (share) USB devices, complete the following steps:
On the thin client, open the Control Panel and select HP RDP USB Redirector Client:

NOTE:
If Use Taskbar Icon is checked in the HP RDP USB Redirector Client dialog,
you can right-click the icon in the taskbar to open the HP RDP USB Redirector
status as shown below:
This lists the devices that are currently available, plugged in, or busy:
Plugged in: The USB device is plugged in and available locally. It is not
redirected (shared) for use with the remote desktop.
Available: The USB device is ready to be redirected (shared) and used with
the remote desktop. The USB device is not available locally at this time.
Busy: The USB device is redirected to the remote desktop session and is in
use. It is not available locally.
Click Advanced to display the HP RDP USB Redirector Client dialog.
