To speed up the display of
frequently visited Web pages,
Internet Explorer stores them
on the hard drive in the
Temporary Internet Files
folder. You can set the size of
this folder or empty it to
control how much space it
uses on the hard drive.
Tip
Increasing the space you set
for the Temporary Internet
Files folder allows previously
visited pages to be displayed
faster, but decreases the
amount of space available for
other files on your computer.

Deleting Temporary Internet Files

1. Double-click the Microsoft
Internet Explorer
the Windows desktop.
2. From the Tools menu in
Internet Explorer, click
Internet Options.
3. Click Delete Files.
4. Click OK.

Increasing Temporary Internet File Space

1. Double-click the
Microsoft Internet

Windows desktop.
2. From the Tools menu,
click Internet Options.
3. Click Settings.
4. To increase the amount
of space to store pages
in, click the slider and
move it to the right.
5. Click OK to verify the new setting.
