2. Printing in a Metallic Color

This chapter describes how to specify a metallic color in the data to be printed and print the data in Fiery
Command WorkStation. You can specify either Commercial Graphics Metallics (PANTONE+ Metallics
Coated) or Packaging Metallics (PANTONE+ Premium Metallics Coated). This section describes how to
specify Commercial Graphics Metallics as an example and print the data.

Specify a Metallic Color in the Print Data

This section describes how to specify a metallic color in the data to print using Adobe Illustrator Creative
Cloud as an example.
1.
Open the data to print in Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud.
2.
Specify the object to print using a metallic color.
3.
Click
[Open Swatch Library]
under "Swatches".
4.
Specify a color in the "PANTONE+ Metallic Coated" library.
Take note of the color ID of the metallic color that you specified. Use the color ID in the subsequent
operations.
5.
Save the data to print in PDF format.
