Roller Marks Appearing When Feeding Dark-Color Paper after Feeding White
Paper
For details, see page 265 "Roller Marks Appearing When Dark-Color Paper Is Fed after White Paper".
Glossy banding approximately 14 mm (0.6 inches) wide occurs at an area 33
mm (1.3 inches) from the center in the paper feed direction.
Glossy banding approximately 14 mm wide appears at an area 33 mm from the center in the paper
feed direction on Side 2 in duplex printing or on the printed side when delivering the paper face down
in single-side printing.
Cause:
A temperature difference occurs on the toner surface between the sides with and without contact
between the transport drive roller and the image. Furthermore, the roller pressure changes the surface
properties of the toner, resulting in a gloss difference.
Occurrence conditions:
• When printing on thick paper equivalent to Paper Weight 8
• When printing on slippery paper
