When two or more paper sizes are registered, the adjustment value for all the
paper sizes will change.
To manage the adjustment value for each paper size individually, add each
paper size as a new paper.

<Step 4>
1. Check that [Other than Envelope] is specified in "Fusing
Nip Width: Paper Type", and decrease the value in
"Fusing Nip Width Adjustment" one step at a time.
2. Specify "Select Color Mode", and decrease the value in
"Fusing Temperature" by five degrees at a time for each
color mode.
Check the fusibility as you make adjustment.
3. Specify [Envelope] in "Fusing Nip Width: Paper Type",
and specify [Middle] in "Print Speed".
If wrinkles persist even when you specify [Middle],
specify [Low].
4. Specify "Select Color Mode", and decrease the value in
"Fusing Temperature" by five degrees at a time for each
color mode.

When the Image Density is Uneven
If you are concerned about the difference in image density across the feed direction, perform the following adjustments:
1 Prepare 10 sheets or more of A3 size or larger paper. (50 or more sheets are required when you perform sensitivity adjustment
from the Adjustment Settings for Skilled Operators 0205)
The paper requirements are as follows:
 Size: a standard paper of 279.4–330.2 mm (11–13 inches) in width and 420–487.68 mm (16.5–19.2 inches) in length (banner paper
is not supported)
 Type: glossy coated paper of 80–100% in whiteness (colored paper is not supported) 67–352g/m
0–11.9 in fluorescence intensity
2 Load paper on any of the paper trays.
3 Press the [Task] hub
[Operational Task List]
[Vertical Uneven Density Correction].
4 Select the tray on which you loaded the paper.
5 Press [Adjust/Print].
After performing the adjustment, the machine outputs four to eight sheets (when adjusting the sensitivity: 48 sheets) with the
image for adjustment, and one sheet (two sheets) for confirmation.
6 To apply the adjusted value, press [Apply] on the screen confirming the completion of printing the adjustment chart. To ignore the
adjustment value, press [Cancel].
7 Press [Task Complete].
 When a message prompting you to clean the line sensor is displayed, clean the line sensor, press the [Reset] button in the [Vertical
Uneven Density Correction] screen to reset the adjustment value, and then perform the adjustment.

<Step 4>
■ When Using an Envelope
1. Check that [Envelope] is specified in "Fusing Nip Width: Paper Type", and
then decrease the value in "Fusing Nip Width" by 250 μm at a time.
Check the fusibility as you make adjustments. If the fusibility is unsatisfactory,
specify "Select Color Mode", and then increase the value in "Fusing
Temperature" by five degrees at a time for each color mode.
■ When Using Paper other than an Envelope
1. Check that [Other than Envelope] is specified in "Fusing Nip Width: Paper
Type", and then decrease the value in "Fusing Temperature" by five degrees
at a time for each color mode.
Check the fusibility as you make adjustments.
2. If paper wrinkles persist even after you perform Step 1, set the fusing
temperature back to its original setting, and decrease the value in
[Fusing Nip Width] by one step at a time. Decrease the value in "Fusing
Temperature" by five degrees at a time if the problem persists.
If wrinkling improves but the fusibility is insufficient, lower the "Print Speed"
setting. (Specify [Middle] or [Low] while you check the fusibility.)
