2.16 ANTIFREEZE PROTECTION
The hybrid heat pump is equipped with an anti-freeze protection function that is active at different levels ("O.U. in antifreeze" parameter
setting).
"Level 1" corresponds to the disabling of the protections.
The "Level 2" protects the outdoor unit by switching on the pump and burner until a temperature calculated on the basis of the outdoor
ambient temperature is reached.
The "Level 3" is equivalent to "Level 2" on this model.
If "Level 3" of the "O.U. in antifreeze" parameter is active, this function has priority over the domestic hot water production
function (when combined with a storage tank unit), so it may happen, in the case of prolonged domestic hot water demand, that
domestic hot water production is interrupted.
All information relative to the antifreeze protection is stated in (Parag.1.4).
2.17 PROLONGED INACTIVITY
In case of prolonged inactivity (e.g. second home), we recommend:
1. close the gas;
2. to switch off the power supply;
3. Completely empty the CH circuit (to be avoided if glycol is present in the system) and the DHW circuit of the appliance (if combined
with a storage tank). In systems that are drained frequently, filling must be carried out with suitably treated water to eliminate hard-
ness that can cause lime-scale.
2.18 CLEANING THE CASE
1. Use damp cloths and neutral detergent to clean the appliance casing.
Never use abrasive or powder detergents.
2.19 PERMANENT SHUTDOWN
In the event of permanent shutdown of the appliance, contact professional staff for the procedures and ensure that the electrical, water
and gas supply lines are shut off and disconnected.
