1.8 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION.

The appliance has an IPX5D protection degree; electrical safety of
the appliance is achieved only when it is connected properly to an
efficient earthing system, as specified by current safety standards.
ATTENTION:
the manufacturer declines any respon-
sibility for damage or physical injury
caused by failure to connect the boiler
to an efficient earthing system or failure
to comply with the CEI reference standards.
• Open the control panel connections compartment (Fig. 5).
To carry out electrical connections, all you have to do is open the
connections compartment as follows.
- Disassemble the grid (1) (Fig. 40).
- Remove the caps, loosen the fastening screws and pull the front
panel (5) towards you (Fig. 41).
- Remove the cover (b fig. 5).
1) Loosen the screws (a).
2) Remove the cover (b) from the control panel (c).
- At this point, it is possible to access the terminal board (d).
Also ensure that the electrical installation corresponds to maxi-
mum absorbed power specifications as shown on the boiler data
nameplate. The boilers are supplied complete with a "X" type
power cable without plug.
ATTENTION:
the power supply cable must be connect-
ed to a 230V ±10% / 50Hz mains supply
respecting L-N polarity and earth con-
nection;
this network must also have
a multi-pole circuit breaker with class
III overvoltage category in compliance
with installation regulations.

To protect from possible dispersions of DC voltage, it is necessary
to provide a type A differential safety device.
tIt is recommended to contact a qualified company for replacement
to avoid a hazard. The power cable must be laid as shown (Fig. 4).
If the network fuse on the integrated P.C.B. needs replacing, this
must also be done by qualified personnel: use a 3.15 A F (fast) 250
V fuse (size 5 x 20).
For the main power supply to the appliance, never use adapters,
multiple sockets or extension leads.
ATTENTION:
to electrically connect the boiler to the
storage tank unit (when the boiler is
connected to an external storage tank unit),
connect terminals 36 and 37 in the terminal
board located in the control panel (Part. d Fig.
5) to clamps H and R of the Storage tank unit,
eliminating resistance R8 (Fig. 38).
Installation with system operating at direct low temperature.
The boiler can directly feed a low-temperature system by acting
on parameters "S5" and S6" (Par. 3.11). In this situation it is good
practice to insert a relevant safety kit (optional) made up from a
thermostat (with adjustable temperature). The thermostat must
be positioned on the system flow pipe.
