3. Select Reset analog output settings and then select Yes. Insight displays a message that
notifies about the settings being cleared.
5.4 Analog output overrange behavior
The analog output has a defined behavior when the measured values are outside the scaled
analog output range. At first, the output is clipped when the measurement exceeds a set limit
(the measurement continues, but the output does not change from the clipped value).
When the measurement exceeds the second limit (error limit), the analog output switches to
the error state defined for the output.
The same clipping and error limits are applied when the measured value drops back to the
scaled range: at first the output returns to the clipped value from the error state, and then to
normal output.
5.4.1 Analog output overrange example
This example describes the analog output overrange behavior when an output uses a range of
0 ... 5 V, scaled to 0 ... 200 000 ppm (= 0 ... 20 %) CO
. The error level is set to 0 V, clipping

limit is set to 5 % overrange, and error limit is set to 10 % overrange. CO
