OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
TROUBLE SHOOTING
General
For safer scale transport and easier patient seating, the
scale has a foot rest which folds up out of the way.
Once the patient is seated, the footrest can be folded
back down for patient comfort and safety.
Scale Use
Buttons
START Allows weighing to take place by starting scale
•TARE
Converts display to zero
LB
Converts display to pounds
KG
Converts display to kilogram
BATT
Converts display to battery voltage

Push the START button to turn the scale on.
2.
The LCD will display —, and then 0 LB and emit 1
beep, indicting the scale has set its zero (tare) point,
and is ready for weighing.
3.
To change the weighing mode, press the LB or KG
button.
4.
Place the child or adult in the chair. The scale will
display
after the weight has stabilized, the scale
will give three beeps and the LCD display will show
the weight reading.
5.
The weight will remain on the display for 2 min. or
until the TARE button is pressed. If the scale has no
activity within 5 minutes, it will enter into a dormant
state. In the dormant state, display will be blank.
Scale does not work correctly:
1.
Be sure shipping screws have been removed.
2.
Check battery voltage when the charger is not
plugged into the battery. The battery must have a
charge of 5.5 to function correctly.
3.
Check the fuse has not blown. The fuse is located
in the battery pack, incased in the fuse housing.
4.
Check the scale is on a level, hard surface.
5.
ERRH message: Scale senses a zero point higher
than expected, Check that additional weight is not
on the platform and press TARE.
6.
ERRL message: Scale senses a zero point lower
than expected. Check that the seat assembly, or
tray are installed and press TARE.
OL message: Scale has exceeded the capacity.
CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: Only calibrate the scale with certified 300 lbs.
weights or by a qualified lab or technical center. Charge
scale for 24 hours before starting the calibration steps.
1.
Remove the plastic back rest for easy access to the
back of the scale head.
2.
Remove the access cover on the back of the scale
head labeled "Remove to calibrate".
3.
Set the jumper (there is only one jumper, located in
the back of the head) by lifting the cap off the left
and middle pin and replacing it connecting the right
and middle pin.
4.
Push the START button the screen will show "0 LB".
Make sure there is no weight on the platform
5.
Push the TARE button, the screen will show
11ULOAD" briefly followed by "OLOAD".
6.
Place a certified dead weight of 300 lbs. on the scale
platform.
7.
After the weight is placed on the platform and
stabilized, press TARE button again and the screen
will display a raw count briefly, followed by "LD-TL
.
