Internet on your network. You can manually update this database or let the router
automatically update it.
To enable or disable the automatic Dynamic QoS database update:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to the
router network.
2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net.
A login window displays.
3. Enter the router admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified when you set
up your router. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select QoS.

5. To let the router automatically update the QoS database, select the Automatically
update performance optimization database check box.
When you enable QOS, this check box is automatically selected.
6. To update the QoS database immediately, click the Update Now button.
The router connects to a Netgear server.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved.

Manage Wi-Fi Multimedia QoS

Wi-Fi multimedia (WMM) Quality of Service (QoS) prioritizes WiFi voice and video traffic
over the WiFi connection. WMM QoS is automatically enabled for the router.
WMM QoS prioritizes WiFi data packets from different applications based on four access
categories: voice, video, best effort, and background. For an application to receive the
benefits of WMM QoS, WMM must be enabled for both it and the client running that
