Installation types summarised table (Fig. 12):
Appliance that withdraws air from the environment where it is
B
installed and releases combustion products outside (either
directly or through the flue).
Appliance that withdraws air from the environment where it is
B2
installed and releases combustion products in the flue.
Appliance connected to a conventional flue. A concentric pipe
connects the flue to the appliance, in which the pressurised
B3
exhaust pipe is completely enveloped by combustion air
withdrawn from inside the room. The combustion air is
withdrawn by calibrated orifices present in the intake pipe.
Appliance that withdraws air from the environment where it is
B5
installed and directly releases combustion products outside
(through wall or roof).
Appliance whose combustion circuit (air feed, combustion
chamber, heat exchanger and exhaust of combustion products)
C
is sealed with respect to the room where the appliance is
installed.
Appliance with pipes connecting to a horizontal terminal,
which simultaneously allows the inlet of combustion air and the
C1
release of flue gas through concentric orifices or close enough to
be in similar wind conditions.
Appliance with pipes connecting to a vertical terminal, which
simultaneously allows the inlet of combustion air and the
C3
release of flue gas through concentric orifices or close enough to
be in similar wind conditions.
Appliance with two separate pipes connecting to a collective
conventional flue. The flue consists of two pipes, concentric or
C4
separate, with air intake in one and flue gas release in the other
and are in similar wind conditions.
Appliance that withdraws air from outside and directly releases
C5
combustion products outside (through wall or roof). These
pipes can end up in different pressure zones.
Type C appliance intended to be connected to an approved
C6
system and sold separately.
Appliance connected, through the exhaust pipe, to an individu-
C8
al or collective conventional flue. A second pipe is provided for
the intake of combustion air from outside.
Appliance connected, through a ducted exhaust pipe, to a
C9
vertical terminal. The exhaust pipe, by means of the cavity, also
acts as a combustion air intake pipe.
