To remove the fingerprint reader, use this procedure and illustration.

NOTE: The fingerprint reader spare part kit does not include the fingerprint reader bracket or
fingerprint reader cable. The fingerprint reader bracket is not available as a spare part. The fingerprint
reader cable is available using spare part part number N41013-001.

Before removing the fingerprint reader, follow these steps:

Remove the fingerprint reader:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) the fingerprint reader cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
fingerprint reader cable from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.3 screw (2) that secures the fingerprint reader and fingerprint reader
bracket to the computer.
3. Remove the fingerprint reader bracket (3).
The fingerprint reader bracket is not available as a spare part.
4. Remove the fingerprint reader (4).
