    Setting Up Your Remote Control Your Samsung TV comes equipped with a “universal” remote control. This remote not only operates your Samsung TV, but it can operate most VCR’s and cable boxes as well, even if your VCR and cable box are made by other manufacturers.

    HAPTER NSTALLATION Connecting VHF and UHF antennas If you do not have cable TV, you will need to connect an antenna to your TV. To connect an antenna, follow the instructions in one of the following sections. • If your antenna has a set of leads that look like the illustration below, see “Antennas with 300-ohm Flat Twin Leads,”on this page.

    Plug the lead into the terminal on the bottom of the rear panel. Separate VHF and UHF antennas If you have two separate antennas for your TV (one VHF and one UHF), you must combine the two antenna signals before connecting the antennas to the TV.

    Customizing the picture You can use the on-screen menus to change the contrast, brightness, sharpness, color, and tint on your TV. To customize your picture: Press MENU. You will see the open Video menu. Press –VOL or VOL+ until the word “Custom” appears.
