Lift the heat sink off the system board (2). Be sure to lift the heat sink evenly up off the system board.
Putting too much pressure on one side can cause the heat sink to bend.
3.
Thoroughly clean the thermal material from the surfaces of the heat sink and the system board
components each time the heat sink is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with the heat
sink and system board spare part kits.
Install thermal paste on the heat sink in the location as shown in the following illustration.
To install the heat sink, reverse this procedure.
