Page 7: Getting To Know Your Hearing Aids
They are worn directly in the ear, either in the bowl of the ear or deep inside the ear canal. They are not inteded for children under the age of 3 years or persons with a developmental age of under 3 years. Controls With the controls you can, for example, adjust the volume or switch hearing programs. Your hearing aids either have a push button, a volume control wheel, or no control at all. Your Hearing Care Specialist has programmed your desired functions to the controls. - Page 10 Volume control wheel function Increase volume: Rotate wheel forward. Settings Hearing programs Read more in section “Changing the hearing program.” Features Features Power-on delay enables whistle-free insertion of hearing aids. Read more in section “Turning on and off.” AutoPhone automatically switches to the telphone ™ program when the telephone receiver approaches the ear. Phone Surround transmits the telephone call into both ears when the telepone receiver is held to either ear. -

Insert the battery with the “+” symbol facing upwards. Carefully close the battery compartment. If you feel resistance, the battery is not inserted correctly. Do not attempt to close the battery compartment by force. It can be damaged. Daily use Turning on and off You have the following options to turn your hearing aids on or off. - Page 14 Via remote control: For detailed information and instructions refer to the GENIUSlink User Manual or the Remote Control User Manual for ME Control or ask your Hearing Care Specialist. Follow the instructions in the Remote Control User Manual. After turning on, the previously used volume and hearing program remain set.

Inserting and removing the hearing aids Your hearing aids have been fine-tuned for your right and left ear. The color of the labeling on the hearing aids indicates the side: red labeling = right ear blue labeling = left ear Inserting a hearing aid: Carefully push the hearing aid into the ear canal. -

Removing a hearing aid: NOTICE Never pull on the battery compartment door or volume control wheel to remove the hearing aid. This could damage your hearing aid. Push lightly on the back of your ear to loosen the hearing aid. If your hearing aid is equipped with a removal cord, remove the hearing aid by pulling the removal cord towards the back of your head. -
Page 17: Changing The Hearing Program
Changing the hearing program Depending on the listening situation, your hearing aids automatically adjust their sound. Your hearing aids may also haveup to six hearing programs which allow you to change the sound, if needed. An optional signal tone can indicate the program change. To change the hearing program, press the push button briefly or use a remote control. - Page 18 Not all telephones produce a magnetic field strong enough to activate this function. In this case, you can use the Miracle-Ear Phone Surround magnet, which is available as an accessory, and attach it to the telephone receiver.

Audio induction loops Some telephones and public places like theatres offer the audio signal (music and speech) via an audio induction loop. With this system, your hearing aids can directly receive the desired signal – without distracting noise in the environment. You can usually recognize audio induction loop systems by certain signs. -
Page 21: Maintenance And Care
Maintenance and care To prevent damage it is important that you take care of your hearing aids and follow a few basic rules, which will soon become a part of your daily routine. Hearing aids Drying and storage Dry your hearing aids overnight. Ask your Hearing Care Specialist for recommended drying products. -

Never use running water or immerse the hearing aids in water. Never apply pressure while cleaning. Ask your Hearing Care Specialist for recommended cleaning products, special care sets, or more information on how to keep your hearing aids in good condition. Professional maintenance Your Hearing Care Specialist can perform a thorough professional cleaning and maintenance. -

If you change the program or volume on one aid, the other one is automatically changed, too. Both hearing aids automatically adapt to the listening situation simultaneously. Wireless functionality enables the use of a remote control. Refer to section “Settings” to see if your hearing aids are equipped with wireless functionality. - Page 24 Problem and possible solutions Hearing aid emits whistling sounds. Reinsert the hearing aid until it fits securely. Decrease the volume. Clean the hearing aid. Sound is distorted. Decrease the volume. Replace the battery. Clean the hearing aid. Ask your Hearing Care Specialist to exchange the wax protection and/or the microphone cover.

Extracción del aido auditivo: AVISO Nunca jale la puerta del compartimiento de la batería o la rueda del control de volumen para extraer el aido auditivo. Esto podría dañar su aido auditivo. Empuje ligeramente la parte posterior de su oreja para aflojar el aido. -

Si cambia el programa o el volumen de un aido, el otro también cambia automáticamente. Ambos aidos auditivos se adaptan automáticamente y de manera simultánea , según la situación auditiva.
