4 Blood Glucose Tests

There are 2 ways to perform a blood
glucose test with the Accu-Chek Active
meter. You can either apply the blood drop
to the test area while the test strip is in
the meter, or you can remove the test strip
from the meter and then apply the blood
drop to the test area.
You need the meter, a test strip, and a
lancing device with a lancet inserted to
perform a blood glucose test.

Insert the test strip into the test strip guide.
Do not bend the test strip.
The test strip must lie flat on the
measurement window cover.
Wash your hands
with warm water and
soap, and dry them
well.
Prepare your lancing
device.
Check the use by
date on the test strip
container.
Use only test strips
which are within the
use by date.
Remove a test strip
from the test strip
container. Close the
cap tightly.
Hold the test strip
so that the arrows
printed on it and
the test area face
upwards.

displayed.
