BOILERS IN CASCADE MANAGEMENT KIT VICTRIX SUPERIOR 35 PLUS
THIS SHEET MUST BE LEFT WITH THE USER ALONG WITH THE BOILER INSTRUCTION BOOKLET
GENERAL WARNINGS.
All products are protected with suitable transport packaging.
The material must be stored in dry environments and protected
against weathering.
This instruction manual provides technical information for installing
the kit. As for the other issues related to kit installation (e.g. safety
in the work site, environment protection, injury prevention), it is
necessary to comply with the provisions specified in the regulations
in force and principles of good practice.
Improper installation or assembly of the appliance and/or compo-
nents, accessories, kit and devices can cause unexpected problems
to people, animals and objects. Read the instructions provided with
the product carefully to ensure a proper installation.
Installation and maintenance must be performed in compliance with
the regulations in force, according to the manufacturer's instructions
and by authorised professionally qualified staff, intending staff with
specific technical skills in the plant sector, as envisioned by the Law.
GENERAL INDICATIONS
This kit coupled to the heat adjustment systems and the Victrix
Superior 35 Plus boilers manages the connection of several boiler
sets.
- Position the interfaces in proximity of the cascade adjuster.
- Make the connections between boiler - interface controller as
shown on the wiring diagram (fig. 3)
- Set the IMG BUS dialog type "2" to parameters Menu of each
individual boiler:
Menu \ Service \ Inputs \ Remote control = 2
- Adjust the minimum and maximum heating output of each
individual generator according to requirements.
- If the "chimney sweep! mode must be activated, it is possible
only in the absence of requests by the system for central heating
and the production of domestic hot water.
INSTALLER OBLIGATIONS
For compliance with the Installation Standard it is indispensable
to mount an INAIL type-approved 2.7 bar safety valve on the flow
system (supplied as optional), which must not be shut-off (fig. 2
ref. 37) (for further information regarding the safety valve, see
the manufacturer's instructions). The safety valve must be posi-
tioned in the immediate vicinity of the generator and however,
not more than 1 m away. The drain must be disposed of through
a draining funnel, which is connected to a sewer or other system
suitable for the collection and disposal of waste waters in com-
pliance with the Law in force. On the contrary, if the safety valve
should intervene causing damage/injury to objects/persons (e.g.
flooding the room) the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.
The drain fitting must have a suitable diameter and particularly
must not be smaller than the diameter of the outlet fitting of the
valve itself.

FIXING
Fixing onto tracks (not included in supply).
ASSIGNING ADDRESS
Using the DIP switches of the interface converter it is possible to
assign an unmistakable address to each converter (Fig. 1). The DIP
Switch must be switched-over using a suitable tool.
OPERATING MODE
The requests for room central heating and the production of do-
mestic hot water are analogue and the boiler display shows "C.H.
request in progress" in both cases.
In the presence of a request the regulator starts the boiler with
switch-on interval between one generator and another according
to its own internal formula, or according to the option that can
be set by the cascade generator (see relative instruction book).
Anti-freeze function. The activation of the anti-freeze function
(DHW and room CH) by one of the generators is restricted by
the generator itself in which the function is activated. This has
precedence over the room central heating functions and the pro-
duction of domestic hot water.
All boiler anomalies (except those referring to the DHW part that
are disabled) are shown on the boiler display and on the cascade
manager, which also indicates the address of the generator in order
to identify the anomaly
