Touchpad
NOTE: The touchpad spare part kit does not include the touchpad bracket rubber or the touchpad cable. The
touchpad bracket rubber is available using spare part number M16563-001. The touchpad cable is available
using spare part number M97111-001.
Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Remove the touchpad:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the touchpad cable is connected, and then disconnect the touchpad
cable from the system board.
2. Detach the touchpad cable (2) from the top/keyboard. (The touchpad cable is attached to the top cover/
keyboard with double-sided adhesive.)
3. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 2.9 screws (3) that secure the touchpad and touchpad bracket to the
computer.
4. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.3 broad head screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer.
5. Remove the touchpad bracket (5).
6. Swing the top edge of the touchpad (6) up and forward.
7. Remove the touchpad (7) by sliding it up and away from the computer at an angle.
