Before removing the bottom cover, prepare the computer for disassembly (see
page 21).
Remove the bottom cover:
1. Remove the front (1) and rear rubber foot strips.
The rubber foot strips are available in the Rubber Feet Kit, spare part number M97114-001.
2. Remove the seven Phillips M2.0 × 5.6 screws (2) that secure the bottom cover to the computer.
3. Insert a nonmarking, nonconductive tool (1) into the rear edge of the computer.
4. Seperate the rear edge of the bottom cover (2) from the top cover/keyboard.
5. Remove the bottom cover (3) from the computer.
