Powering the Camera Installing the Battery Use the rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-LI92 that is provided with the camera. Installing an SD Memory Card This camera uses SD Memory Cards, SDHC Memory Cards or SDXC Memory Cards. Captured images are saved on the SD Memory Card if a card is inserted in the camera. They are saved in the built-in memory if a card is not inserted (p.21). - Page 22 SD Memory Card Battery/card cover socket SD Memory Card Open the battery/card cover. Press the battery/card cover lock lever in the direction shown 1, slide the cover towards 2 and open it towards 3. Taking Still Pictures Taking Pictures This camera has various functions and shooting modes that support a wide array of scenes and subjects. This section explains shooting with the default settings when shipped. Press the power button. The camera turns on and is ready to take still pictures.
