If you need to recover an operating system, OmniBook drivers, or any other program on the Recovery CD, but do not have access to a CD-ROM drive, HP Service can recover these files for you. The cost is a standard charge equal to one-half the hourly labor rate.

Desktop Mode In the Desktop mode, you use your portable like a desktop that you can pick up and take with you. When you need to change hardware (plug in a PC card), or take your portable somewhere else, you shut down Windows NT, then press Ctrl+Alt+Blue button to completely turn off the computer.
