Battery
Description
6-cell, 55-WHr (includes 2 release latches and 2 rubber feet)
3-cell, 27-WHr (includes 2 release latches)
Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1.
Turn the computer upside-down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you.
2.
Slide battery lock latch (1) to the unlock position.
3.
Then, firmly slide battery release latch (2) until the battery is released.
4.
Remove the battery (3).
Reverse this procedure to install a battery.

Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures
After replacing the battery, slide the manual release latch to the lock position.
