CAUTION: To help avoid loss of critical data, initiate standby before
you move a computer or external hard drive from one location to
another. To initiate standby, select Start > Turn Off Computer >

Removing the Primary Hard Drive

To remove the primary hard drive:
1. Save your work and close any open applications.
2. Shut down the notebook and close the display.
3. Turn the notebook upside down.
4. Loosen the screws in the hard drive bay cover.

attached. Do not attempt to remove the screws from the hard
drive bay cover.
