The desktop expansion base connectors used for modem pass-
through vary by region.
An expansion base purchased for use in North America, Latin
America, Japan, or Hong Kong has an RJ-11 connector.
An expansion base purchased for use in Europe or Asia Pacific
(except Japan or Hong Kong) has a 25-pin connector.
