Possible Cause
A device was moved.
Direct sunlight,
fluorescent light, or
flashing incandescent
light is close to the
infrared connections.
Another wireless
device is interfering.
The infrared lens is
dirty.
Probable Cause
Num Lock function is
not enabled.
Keyboard may not be
securely connected or
may be connected to
the wrong external
connector.
You initiated
QuickLock.
Solution
Do not move either
device during data
transmission.
Remove the interfering
light source(s).
Keep other infrared and
audio remote-control
devices, such as wireless
headphones, away from
the infrared connection.
Clean the lens with a lint-
free cloth.
Solution
Press Fn+NumLk to
enable the embedded
numeric keypad (the num
lock light turns on).
Ensure that the external
keyboard is securely
connected to the external
keyboard/mouse
connector.
Enter your power-on
password to exit
QuickLock.
NOTE: If num lock is on,
hold down the Fn key to
type a non-numeric
password; press Fn+Shift
for uppercase.
