INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this section is to provide information that
will assist the pilot with planning a flight in detail with
reasonable accuracy.
All data has been corrected to I.C.A.O. standard day
conditions. Where appropriate, the data has been
expanded analytically for variations in weight, altitude,
temperature, etc.
The data has been derived from actual flight tests, taking
into account the proficiency of an average pilot. The pilot
must use sound judgment when assessing the effect of
conditions not found in the charts, such as soft runways
and winds aloft. The parameters will be affected by the
performance of the engine. Therefore, the pilot must be
thoroughly familiar with its operation, including the
procedures for adjusting the mixture control.
Data should not be extrapolated beyond the limits shown
on the charts.
All information is presented in the units used on the
aircraft's instrumentation.
Airspeeds will be presented in statute miles per
hour
Weights in pounds
Altitudes in feet
Temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit
Wind speed in nautical miles per hour
