Connecting the Battery (Optional)

WARNING!
Before connecting the battery to the inverter, power off the battery.
Use the following cable types:
DC - a pair of DC cables - 10 AWG (10-12 AWG), 600V insulated.
Communication (for LG Chem batteries only) - 24 AWG (16-24 AWG), 600V insulated
or CAT6
To connect communication (for LG Chem batteries only):
1. Connect the communication cable to the battery's RS485 connector as shown below.
2. Open Communication Gland 2 at the bottom of the inverter's Safety Unit.
3. Feed the other end of the communication cable through one of the gland openings.
4. Remove the connector from the port labeled 2nd Inv-Battery on the communication
board.

1. Toggle off the battery ON/OFF/P switch.
2. Turn off the battery circuit breaker.
LG Chem Prime Battery
Turn off the circuit breaker.
